With a family history in the diamond history going back to 1953 and after studying at the German Gemmologial Association (DGemG) and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), our founder Maxim Van Oppens has been non stop working in the Antwerp Diamond industry.

In 2015 he decided it was time to found his own company VomDiam, continuing the family legacy.

In 2016 we became an official member of the Antwerpsche Diamantkring, the world's leading rough diamond bourse, which was founded in 1929. 

In 2017 we obtained the WDFB Mark.

In 2019 we were chosen to be the one of the first Ambassadors for the prestigious label "In Antwerp we speak diamond" by the ctiy of Antwerp and was it the year where our CEO was appointed by Royal Decree (KB 13/10/2019) Laureate of Work - Future of the Profession for the Belgian diamond industry. One of the most prestigious awards given by the Belgian government.

In 2020 we joined the Syndicate of the Belgian Diamond Industry, since 1927 the legally recognized professional association of the Belgian diamond companies established in Belgium.
